•5.1 Diagnosisâ?¨All newly diagnosed patients with suspected neuroblastoma (NB), or ganglioneuroblastoma seen at participating InPOG institutions are eligible for this study.
•5.2. Patients may have received emergent chemotherapy. However documentation of such exposure is needed as excessive exposure may yield samples that have inadequate tumor to analyze.
•5.3 Specimens required for eligibility:â?¨It is mandatory that an effort be made to submit a neuroblastoma tissue slides of sufficient quality and quantity for genomic analysis. For patients with stage 4 disease confirmed on marrow histopathology and urine catecholamine testing, tissue biopsy is not required for registration but marrow biopsy specimen slides or aspirate sample should be sent. Similarly for low risk neuroblastoma patients followed with imaging tissue biopsy may not be available, however should they undergo a biopsy or resection at a later date tumor needs to be submitted for testing at that time.
•5.4 All patients and/or their parents or legal guardians must sign a written informed consent. â?¨
•5.5 All institutional ethics requirements must be met. â?¨
