•1. Patients with acute myocardial infarction within duration of one month. Myocardial infarction as confirmed by standard definition (symptoms, Troponin and electrocardiographic changes). Those who have undergone a revascularisation procedure during previous or current admission will also be eligible. Patients referred from other hospitals and admitted in the clinical site for diagnostic or therapeutic reasons within 7 days of the acute myocardial infarction are also eligible for participation.
•2. Patients willing and able to attend the complete hospital-based Yoga Cardiac Rehabilitation programme.

•Patients will be considered ineligible if they have any of the following during screening
•1. Patients who will not be able to complete the study duration and/or cannot come for the follow-up.
•2. Participants who regularly practice yoga i.e., participants who practice more than 3 hours of yoga a week.
•3. Any other diseases which limits the life years less than one year such as severe valvular diseases, recurrent ventricular arrhythmias, heart failure (Killip class IV), cancers, severe aortic incompetence, severe atrial fibrillation, end stage renal diseases and end stage liver diseases.
