An Observational Study to assess the relation between Deha Prakriti and Severity of Rajonivrutti Janya Lakshana (Menopausal Syndrome) w.s.r. to Kuppermans Index.

Prakriti is an important concept of Ayurveda that explain individuality. It express unique trait of an individual that is defined by specific and permanent composition of dosha right from birth. By evaluating prakriti of patient suffering from same disease we can assess the course and outcome of treatment. Ayurvedic Literature has noticed Menopause as natural process in life of women as Rajonivrutti. Menopause means permanent cessation of menstruation at the end of reproductive life due to loss of ovarian follicular activity. Though menopause is a natural phenomemon and is a part of natural process of ageing in women and every women faces varied changes during this phase of life resulting from hormonal derangement. Such disturbances attain the stage of disease or syndrome called Menopausal Syndrome. Severity of menopausal syndrome can be measured by Kupperman’s Index. Present study is undertaken with a purpose to assess the severity of Rajonivrutti Janya Lakshana(Menopausal Syndrome) with the help of  Kupperman’s Index and to find which prakriti patients are having severe symptoms of Menopausal Syndrome.
