简要总结
Assessing the effectiveness of arm ability training versus mirror therapy on hand functions and motor aphasia recovery in stroke survivors: a comparative study
- MCA strokes commonly lead to upper-extremity motor deficits and non-fluent aphasia, creating a need for targeted rehabilitation. It highlights that Prior studies show both AAT and MT independently improve hand motor function and support language recovery through shared neural mechanisms. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Arm Ability Training (AAT) versus Mirror Therapy (MT) on hand function and motor aphasia recovery parallelly in stroke survivors. The aim is to determine whether one intervention is superior in improving motor and language outcomes. The study uses an interventional comparative design with stroke survivors in Bangalore over 8 weeks, employing tools like the Western Aphasia Battery and the Fugl-Meyer UE scale. Participants receive either AAT or MT along with conventional physiotherapy.
