This study suggested that patients using SLS-free toothpaste were likely to less gingival inflammation than patients using SLS-containing toothpaste. Although the results on the overall effect on oral mucosa are not different between the two toothpastes, SLS-free toothpaste may be useful as an admissible alternative for individuals with oral mucosal lesions

- •This study included thirty healthy participants aged 20-60 years.
- •All participants provided informed consent.
排除标准
- •Patients using medications that affect oral wound healing, such as corticosteroids
- •Patients undergoing antibiotic treatment
- •Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals
- •Patients with uncontrolled diabetes or other systemic diseases
- •Patients with chronic oral mucosal diseases (e.g., lichen planus, pemphigus vulgaris, pemphigoid)
- •Individuals already using sodium lauryl sulfate-free toothpaste
