- •Patients who were diagnosed with acute eosinophilic pneumonia
- •1) an acute onset of febrile respiratory manifestations < 1 month in duration regardless of hypoxemia status, 2) bilateral diffuse infiltrates evident on chest radiography, 3) > 25% eosinophils in bronchoalveolar lavage or eosinophilic pneumonia evident on lung biopsy, and, 4) absence of any known cause of pulmonary eosinophilia, including drug abuse, toxin exposure, or infection.
