- •respiratory distress syndrome

- •5 minute Apgar score less than 4
- •congenital heart disease except patent ductus arteriosus and atrial septal defect
- •necrotizing entrocololitis
- •major congenital anomalies, esophageal atresia, diaphragmatic hernia
- •chromosomal anomalies
