研究概览

简要总结

The main purpose of this research is to test the validity and reliability of the "Exercise Health Beliefs Attitude Scale" (EYSİTÖ), developed by Caz, Paktaş and Yazıcı (2023) for adult individuals, in geriatric individuals aged 65 and over.

详细描述

Testing whether the EYSITÖ (Emotional Belief-Behavior Scale) provides accurate and consistent results in the geriatric group is a scientific necessity. This study aims to address the lack of a suitable measurement tool in this field by revealing the psychometric properties of the EYSITÖ for geriatric individuals. Furthermore, examining the correlation between the scores obtained from the scale and the results of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), an internationally accepted objective measurement tool, will contribute to the criterion-related validity of the study and allow for a clearer understanding of the belief-behavior relationship in the elderly.

结局指标

主要结局

Exercise-Related Health Beliefs Attitude Scale (ERHSTS):

时间窗: 1 weeks

Developed by Caz, Paktaş, and Yazıcı (2023), this scale will be used to determine individuals' health beliefs regarding exercise. The scale consists of 3 sub-dimensions and a total of 20 items: "Health Promotion" (7 items), "Cognitive Health" (7 items), and "Continuity" (6 items). Rated on a 7-point Likert scale (1=Strongly Disagree ... 7=Strongly Agree), an increase in the score indicates an increase in positive attitudes and beliefs towards exercise. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient for the original form of the scale was found to be 0.94.

次要结局

  • International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) - Short Form:(1 day)
