简要总结

Mindfulness-based Quality of Life and Well-Being Program (MQW) Brief Results Report As a result of COVID-19, mental health was identi?ed as a growing area in need of attention. In response to this the Mindfulness-based Quality of Life and Well-Being Program (MQW) program was delivered to enable more people to improve their well-being during the pandemic. Two versions of the program were offered to the public, both the full Mindfulness-based Quality of Life and Well-Being Program and the Mindfulness only section of the program with increased time and exercises to practise mindfulness skills. A total of 74 people were randomly allocated to one of the programs and filled out assessments before and after the program. Of this starting group 28 people did not complete at least 4 sessions of the six week program (completion cut off) so these scores were trimmed, leaving a total of 46 participants who completed (MQW full program = 26, Mindfulness only program = 20). To evaluate possible changes in mental health, people filled out a range of mental health and well-being scales including the abbreviated Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21), the Satisfaction with Life scale (SWL), the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and the Clinical Quality of Life Scale (CLINQOL) that matched specific program outcomes. In both groups, and across all scales, significant pre-post improvements were reported in the domains of mental health, quality of life and well-being.
