入选标准

  • 1. A navicular drop test exceeding 10 mm on one side (unilateral flexible flatfoot)
  • 2. No history of symptoms of pain, discomfort, or fatigue around the medial border of the foot, and ankle on the flexible flatfoot in the last 6 months by subjective examination.

排除标准

  • 1.Body mass index of more than 30 kg/m2.
  • 2.Leg length discrepancy greater than 10 mm.
  • 3.Having a musculoskeletal injury at the lower extremity and lumbar area in the last 6 months that affect the changes of weight-bearing on the foot and gait pattern such as severe ankle sprain, anterior cruciate ligament rupture, meniscus tear, patellofemoral pain syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and scoliosis.
  • 4.History of trauma or surgery on the lower extremity and lumbar area including fracture, and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
  • 5.History of neurological signs (sensory deficits or motor paralysis) at the lower extremity.
  • 6.Receiving specific treatments within the past 6 months including the plantar intrinsic foot training (short-foot exercise and toe spread out exercise), foot orthoses, and lower limb training (squat, single-leg squat, and lunge training).
