- •1. Patients of either sex with age between 18 to 65 years.
- •2. Known case of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) as per Rome IV criteria.
- •3. Pain is relieved by defecation.
- •4. Onset associated with change of frequency of stools.
- •5. Onset associated with change in form(appearance) of stools.

- •1. Patients suffering from any other major physical or mental illness.
- •2. patients not given written inform consent.
