- •resection with an intrathoracic anastomosis
- •- Aged 18 years or older.
- •- Signed informed consent.

- •- Known nasopharynx abnormalities preventing nasogastric tube insertion
- •- Salvage surgery after *definitive chemo-radiotherapy*
- •- Unable to provide informed consent
- •- Patient being illiterate
