- It is studied that the kaltenborn mobilization technique is effective in pain and physical function in osteoarthritis of joints.
- There are studies on effect of kaltenborn mobilization technique on osteoarthritis of carpometacarpal joint of thumb and hip joint and the studies are done with grade-3 gliding technique of kaltenborn mobilization technique which is mainly for improving range of motion.
- But there is lack of evidence for effectiveness of kaltenborn mobilization technique in knee osteoarthritis and also with traction mobilization technique of kaltenborn.
- NULL HYPOTHESIS (ho): There is no improvement in pain and function status in knee OA patient treated with Kaltenborn Traction mobilization technique.
- So two groups will be taken and one group will be given kaltenborn traction mobilization technique with conventional physiotherapy and second group will be given conventional physiotherapy.
- 38(19 in each group) sample size will be taken.
- Following things will be checked pre and post intervention :
- Numerical pain rating scale (NPRS)
- Western ontario and mcmaster universities arthritis index (WOMAC)
- Pain pressure threshold (PPT)s

入选标准
- •1 Patient fulfilling the clinical criteria of American College of Rheumatology for OA knee 2 Patients with primary OA of knee joint 3 Willingness to participate.
排除标准
- •1 Any surgical procedure done on either of lower extremity in the past 6 months 2 Traumatic injury and post traumatic stiffness over knee joint 3 Any infection/neoplastic disorder 4 Any neurological condition 5 Any skin condition 6 Non co-operative patient.
