- To study the various clinical presentation of CD in Egyptian children.
- To evaluate the pattern of CD in relation to different age groups in our children.
- To correlate between the clinical presentations of celiac disease and the upper GIT endoscopic findings.

Celiac disease (CD) is an immune-mediated systemic disease triggered by intake of gluten and related prolamines in genetically susceptible individuals, characterized by presence of various combinations of small intestinal damages, celiac specific antibodies, human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DQ2 or HLA-DQ8, and gluten-dependent clinical manifestations. Gluten is found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats.

入选标准
- •Children in the age range from 6 months to 15 years diagnosed with Celiac disease.
排除标准
- •Age less than 6 months or more than 15 years.
- •Patients or parents unwilling to share their personal, social and medical data or refuse to participate in the study.
- •Celiac disease patients with other gastrointestinal or non-gastrointestinal diseases (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease) that might interfere with data interpretation.

Study group
Children aged 6 months to 15 years diagnosed with celiac disease and followed at the Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic of Cairo University Children's Hospital between January 2009 and December 2023. Clinical, laboratory, serological, endoscopic, and histopathological data will be retrospectively extracted from their medical records. Patients will be analyzed according to the period of diagnosis (2009-2011, 2012-2019, or 2020-2023) and age at diagnosis (<2 years, 2-5 years, or >5-15 years).
