入选标准
- •1. newly born infants ≥ 33 weeks GA and ≥ 1500 g with persistently moderate respiratory distress at 6 hours of age
- •2. patients are admitted to nursery ward at Siriraj Hospital
- •3. spontaneous breathing in room air or with low flow cannula ≤ 2 LPM or oxygen hood FiO2 ≤ 0.4
- •4. moderate respiratory distress defined by one of the following:
- •- RR ≥ 70/min
- •- moderate intercodtal or subcostal retraction
- •- grunting
排除标准
- •1. unstable hemodynamic status
- •2. congenital heart disease except PDA, ASD, VSD
- •3. chromosome anomaly
- •4. any congenital pulmonary disease
- •5. on respiratory support i.e. high flow nasal cannula, CPAP, ETT
- •6. apnea ≥ 1 episode
- •7. patients need to be admitted in NICU or intermediate care ward
- •8. patients determined by physician in charge to have unstable condition and not appropriate for the study
- •9. parents or guardian cannot communicate with Thai language
