Teleneurological services for therapists in northeastern Germany

All nineassessments can be carried out via telemedicine and are technically, temporally and organizationally feasible. Satisfaction with the telemedical assessments was very high among all study participants. Furthermore, the consolidation of the standardized findings in some clinics beyond the project can be expected to lead to an increase in the quality of treatment. Despite the aforementioned potential for improvement, colleagues from the partner clinics generally perceived the teletherapy services positively and would welcome it if they were established. The limitations of telemedical treatment, such as swallowing diagnostics, restrictions in compliance or balance, were discussed intensively during the study period. In conclusion, these issues could not be clarified in the feasibility study and require further research.
