简要总结

Background

Swimming is a competitive sport with four main styles: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly stroke. The primary goal in competitive swimming is to finish a distance in the shortest time. Core muscle strength is crucial for swimmers to maintain balance and body position while propelling themselves through the water. Water’s unique properties like buoyancy, hydrostatic pressure, and viscosity provide opportunities for rehabilitation and low-impact exercise. Land-based fitness programs include both aerobic and anaerobic exercises and are designed based on the specific demands of each sport. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of land-based and water-based core strength exercises in improving speed, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness.

Methodology

Young swimmers meeting the inclusion criteria will be selected and divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Group A will undergo warm-up, dry land core strength training, and cool-down, while Group B will engage in warm-up, in-water core strength training, and cool-down, all for three days a week for six Weeks pre- and post-intervention tests will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the training programs.
