简要总结
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a structured psycho-social palliative care intervention in enhancing resilience among caregivers of children with chronic illnesses. Caregivers often experience high levels of stress, burden, and anticipatory grief, which can negatively impact both their well-being and the quality of care provided to the child. This experimental study will be conducted in the community setting of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, with a total of 120 participants, randomly allocated into intervention and control groups. The intervention group will receive two individual and three group psycho-social sessions focusing on resilience-building, emotional support, and coping strategies. Standardized tools will be used to measure resilience, caregiver burden, grief, and perceived social support before and after the intervention. Ethical approval has been obtained from the IEC, Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur. The findings are expected to inform future models of family-centered palliative care for chronically ill children in community settings.
H1: There will be a significant association between Resilience Scores and demographic variables for caregivers of children with chronic illness.
H2: Caregivers of children with chronic illnesses will have improved resilience after exposure to the intervention.
H3: There will be a reduced level of burden among caregivers of children with chronic illness after exposure to the intervention.
H4: There will be a reduced level of anticipatory grief among caregivers of children with chronic illness after exposure to the intervention.
H5: Caregivers of children with chronic illness will have better perceived social support after exposure to the intervention.
H6: There will be a significant difference in the Resilience, caregiver burden, anticipatory grief, and perceived social support Scores between the experimental and control groups of participants
