The present clinical trial is an open labelled randomized placebo controlled comparative clinical trial on women having regular menstrual cycle. In this study total 100 patients will be registered and divided into two groups with minimum 50 patients in each group to assess the effect of Shodhanartha Snehapana on the physiology of menstrual cycle. In the intervention Group A will receive Snehapana with cow’s ghee for Shodhanartha Snehapana as a Purva Karma of Virechana Karma for 3-7 days and Group B will receive placebo for 10 days.

入选标准
- •Women having regular menstrual cycle with an interval of 21-35 days.
- •Women within the age group of 14-40 years.
- •Women who are Yogya for Virechana Karma.
- •Women willing to participate in the study.
排除标准
- •Women who have irregular menstrual cycle in terms of interval.
- •Women who have heavy bleeding during menstruation.
- •Women taking medications for any disorder related to thyroid, for depression or other psychiatric disorder.
- •Women diagnosed with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, hypertension or any other chronic illness.
- •Women having any pelvic pathologies like fibroid uterus adenomyosis etc.
- •Women having BMI more than 30 Kg per m
- •Women who are taking or have implanted any contraceptives.
- •Pregnant and lactating women.
- •Ayogya for Virechana Karma.
- •Women unwilling to participate in the study.
