入排标准
入选标准
- •Adult patients requiring peripheral venous cannulation prior to surgery
- •Age between 20-60 years
- •ASA-PS I and II
- •Able to understand and report pain according to visual analogue scale (VAS)
排除标准
- •Patients unable to communicate verbally.
- •Lignocaine allergy
- •Patient already receiving analgesic medications within last 24 hours
- •Patients with needle phobia
- •Extreme anxiety
- •Unhealthy skin condition at proposed site of venepuncture
- •Patients in whom more than one attempt will be required for venepuncture
