简要总结
The present study is a single-centre, randomized, parallel-group, double-blinded study that aims to find the effectiveness of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) combined with conventional Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) in Persons with Aphasia. The primary outcomes are language performances of persons with aphasia and secondary outcomes are improvement in quality of life and life satisfaction.

- 性别
- All
入选标准
- •Greater than 18 years of age
- •Left hemisphere infarct
- •Premorbid right-handedness
- •Minimum of primary education
- •Premorbid Kannada speaker
- •Normal or corrected vision and hearing
- •Post-stroke duration greater than three months
- •Comprehension score greater than 4 in Western Aphasia Battery- Kannada.
排除标准
- •A history of any other neurological and psychiatric issues other than cerebrovascular accidents
- •A history of severe head injury
- •A history of seizures
- •A history of severe respiratory issues
- •A history of skin allergy or disease
- •Presence of any pacemaker or metal implant
- •History of migraine or frequent headaches
- •History of head surgery.
