- •2. Patients undergoing planned (elective) surgery for cancer
- •3. Patients undergoing surgery where the intent is either curative or palliative
- •4. Patients must be able and willing to provide written informed consent (signature or a fingerprint)

- •1. Children below 18 years of age
- •2. Patients undergoing emergency surgery;
- •3. Any operative indication other than cancer;
- •4. Patients unable to provide written informed consent;
