Insomnia is seen very commonly in society these days
Prevalence of insomnia in India is very high
There are so many hazardous effects of insomnia on human health
The most important is increase in the prevalence rate of non communicable diseases is due to insomnia
Therefore it is of prime importance to search for the exact causes of insomnia in present era and classify them as per the classification of Charaka Samhita so it will be easy to find out the principles of its management
Therefore this research study was aimed to find out the various causes of Nidranash as per Charaka Samhita in present era

- •Patients fulfilling the above diagnostic criteria 1 Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or nonrestorative sleep 2 This difficulty is present despite adequate opportunity and circumstance to sleep 3 This impairment in sleep is associated with daytime impairment or distress 4 This sleep difficulty occurs at least 3 times per week and has been a problem for at least 1 month.
排除标准
- •Patients with psychological disease like Bipolar disease, Schizophrenia etc.
- •2 Patients taking medications containing sedative or having tranquilising effects for any other disease.
- •3 Patients having history of neurosurgery or having seizer like illness and taking anticonvulsant medication.
