•Patient volunteering to participate in the study, in the age group of 18 to 40 years. Presence of upper and lower permanent molars and premolars with carious lesion. Patient with no history of night pain or spontaneous pain. Pulpal sensitivity to cold test with positive response. Radiographic examination showing deep caries with an image suggestive of proximity to the pulp chamber without signs of periapical pathology. Systemically healthy patient. Patient should have the first, second or third premolar or molar contralateral to the tooth that will be performed sound CPD, as it will be considered the control.

•Presence of pain.Teeth affected by trauma. Teeth with color changes; teeth with periodontal changes pocket more than 3mm; mobility and gingival edema; presence of pain on apical palpation; vertical and horizontal percussion; and teeth with pulp necrosis. Teeth with extreme persistent pain in response to pulp sensitivity test with cold and exposure to iatrogenic pulp.
