•1.Clinically stable patients.
•2.Patients of both genders.
•3.Patient in the age group of 18-70 years.
•4.Patients with stage 1 hypertension as per Joint National Committee on Prevention,
•Detection, Evaluation and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (JNC 7), systolic
•pressure 140 to 159 mmHg and diastolic pressure 90 to 99 mmHg.
•5.Newly diagnosed patients will be included.
•6.Drug naive patients will be included.
•7.Ejection fraction equal to and more than 55.

•1.Patients below 18 years and more than 70 years.
•2.Lactating mothers and pregnant ladies.
•3.Patients with Ischemic heart disease.
•4.Patients with Chronic renal failure.
•5.Ejection fraction less than 55.
•6.Patients will be referred if progression of BP do occur from stage1 to stage2.
•7.Structural abnormalities of heart.
•8.Regional wall motion abnormalities.
