Tp The purpose of this study is to compare pain reduction in patients with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis by maintaining or not maintaining apical patency. This clinical study will be conducted in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, I.T.S. Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Greater Noida(U.P). A total number of 30 patients reporting to the O.P.D. of Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Included patients will be informed about the study and explained in detail about the procedure of the study and requirement for the same. 30 patients will be randomly allocated into 2 groups of 15 patients each i.e patency (Group A) and non-patency (Group B). Postoperative pain scores will be recorded on Visual Analog pain rating scale by the patients preoperatively, at 24 hrs and at 48 hrs. Thereafter, the patients will be recalled for oburation.

入选标准
- •1.Single rooted teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.
- •2.Patients older than 18 years of age.
排除标准
- •1.Patients having periapical lesion.
- •2.Patients on preoperative analgesics and antibiotics within past one month.
- •3.Severely damaged teeth; teeth with root resorption ; root fracture or ankylosis; bruxism.
- •4.Re treatment cases.
- •5.Immunocompromised patients, pregnant and lactating mothers.

时间窗: Postoperative pain scores will be recorded on Visual Analog pain rating scale by the patients preoperatively, at 24 hrs and at 48 hrs.
