- •Forehead/neck rash or infection
- •Unexpected blood loss
- •Oesophageal varices
- •American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) score >III
- •Patients not expected to receive endotracheal tube placement
- •Surgery under neuraxial anaesthesia
