简要总结

This study aims to understand factors that may influence the implementation of a wrist-specific radiographic positioning device in healthcare settings across the United States and Canada. The survey will ask questions about workplace communication, leadership, availability of resources and attitude towards implementing new devices in radiographic imaging. Participants will be MRTs/Radiologic Technologists and they will complete an online questionnaire about current workplace practices and opinions regarding implementation of a new wrist positioning aid. Responses will help identify any potential barriers and facilitators regarding implementation across different healthcare environments.

详细描述

The study research questions are examining implementation determinants such as communication and attitude towards adopting new radiographic technologies. It will examine perceived barriers and facilitators to implementing a new device and consider technologists' willingness to use this type of device in their day-to-day practice. This study will involve the recruitment of medical radiation technologists (MRTs) employed at a healthcare centre in North America (Canada or the United States). MRT Participants will be asked to complete a survey that is designed to evaluate the perceived barriers and facilitators that may affect the implementation of a radiographic positioning device. General information including MRT experience and healthcare centre size and location will be collected along with questions derived from implementation constructs in the Consolidated Framework of Implementation Science. The questionnaire primarily collects quantitative responses with some opportunity for short answers to support responses with quantitative usability data. The results of this survey can provide insight into the ability to implement a radiographic positioning aid within different healthcare centres across North America. Understanding the different barriers and facilitators that may exist and their relationship with healthcare centre size or geographical location can inform the implementation plan of a novel positioning aid.

Implementation Outcomes

时间窗: Participants can complete the survey at any time. The survey will close after 500 participants complete the survey. It is estimated this will take 1 year. The determinants will be measured at the completion of the survey.

Implementation determinants from the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) will be graded on a questionnaire as being a barrier (0), neutral (1), or a facilitator (2).
