The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective, safe and tolerable Sofosbuvir (SOF)/Velpatasvir(VEL) is when taken by people with recent hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, in particular whether the length of treatment can be shortened. Study participants will be randomly (occur by chance) assigned into one of the two different groups. The short treatment duration group will receive SOF/VEL for 6 weeks and the standard treatment duration group will receive SOF/VEL for 12 weeks.Recent hepatitis C virus infection all genotypes.MedDRA version: 20.0Level: PTClassification code 10019744Term: Hepatitis CSystem Organ Class: 10021881 - Infections and infestationsEUCTR2015-004243-39-NLniversity of New South Wales Australia250
