•Males and Females aged between 25 to 85 years and above with "first-ever-stroke" were included in the study. WHO definition of stroke :Stroke(CVD) event is described as rapidly developing signs of focal disturbance of cerebral function lasting more than twenty four hours (unless interrupted by surgery or death) and of presumed vascular origin. The definition includes patients presenting with clinical signs and symptoms of subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, thrombosis and embolism.

•History of past stroke, recurrent strokes, TIA and people aged below 25 were excluded from the study.
