- •Adult patients undergoing pars plana vitrectomy under local anesthesia

- •Patients allergic to local anesthetic solutions
- •With local sepsis
- •Serious impairment of coagulation

- •Unable to cooperate in maintaining a relatively motionless supine position
- •Who refused the anesthetic technique
