简要总结
Background
College students are in a critical developmental phase marked by academic challenges, lifestyle transitions, and increased stress, all of which demand strong cognitive skills such as attention and memory. Attention is essential for focusing on relevant information, while memory supports learning and academic performance. However, modern distractions, sedentary lifestyles, and academic pressure can negatively impact these cognitive domains. Sensorimotor training, which integrates sensory input with motor activities, has been shown to improve brain plasticity, coordination, and overall cognitive functioning. This type of training stimulates multiple brain regions simultaneously, enhancing information processing, concentration, and working memory. Recent research highlights that physical activities involving balance, coordination, and movement-based tasks not only promote physical health but also contribute significantly to higher cognitive abilities. Thus, sensorimotor training offers a promising, non-pharmacological, and engaging approach to support the cognitive health of college students.
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of sensorimotor training on attention and memory in college students. By analyzing changes in cognitive performance following structured sensorimotor activities, the study aims to provide evidence for incorporating such interventions into student wellness programs to enhance academic success and mental well-being.
