简要总结
The use of computer and laptop for work in inappropriate pattern has led to increased prevalence of Forward Head Posture (FHP) in young adults. The FHP is causing many symptoms such as neck pain, poor cervical sensorimotor control. Muscle fatigue and tightness. More recently studies have found impairments in nervous tissues of individuals suffering from FHP, hence it is being stressed that there is need to address the neural impairments while treating FHP. Neural mobilisation is popular physiotherapeutic approach used to manage symptoms arising from neural structures Many physiotherapeutic interventions such asstretching and strengthening of muscles, posture correction strategies and ergonomics, heat therapy, joint mobilization, isometrics, endurance exercises, kinesio taping, myofascial release and PNF have been used in FHP. Amongst all, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation has been reported to be more efficient method for correcting FHP in university students, but neural mobilization has not been studied for its effectiveness in FHP. Need is there to examine the combined effect of PNF and neural mobilisation on FHB as it is hypothesized that cumulative effect of PNF and neural mobilisation would render better results as neural impairments would also be taken care off, which so far had remained unaddressed in FHP.
