- 1.To investigate the effectiveness of Platelet-rich plasma application in healing of the tonsillar fossa.

Aim of the study is to investigate the effect on post-operative pain and enhancement of healing and recovery time following application of autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in the tonsillectomy fossae.
40 patients will be included in this study
The patients were divided into 2 groups of 20 patients each
PRP GROUP
Autologous platelet-rich plasma freshly prepared is used to layer the tonsillar fossa immediately after the surgery and patients were then evaluated for post operative pain and healing and recovery time on postoperative 0 day 1st day 2nd day 3rd day 7th day and 14thday
CONTROL GROUP
Platelet rich plasma will not be given to one group of tonsillectomy patients and patients were then evaluated for post operative pain and healing and recovery time on postoperative 0 day 1st day 2nd day 3rd day 7thday and 14th day

入选标准
- •patients undergoing tonsillectomy under general anaesthesia who gave their consent.
排除标准
- •1.history of dysphagia or odynophagia due to causes other than tonsillitis.
- •2.patients suffering from bleeding disorders.
- •3.patients undergoing tonsillectomy for reasons other than chronic tonsillitis.

时间窗: on 0 day ,1st day, 2nd day ,3rd day ,7th day and 14th day
