入选标准
- •Individuals with a minimum of 20 teeth will be enrolled in the study.
- •a.Chronic periodontitis patients with more than 30% of sites with the presence of a PPD of >= 5mm and CAL of >= 5mm.
- •b.Patients with no history of smoking.
- •2.Group II
- •a.Chronic periodontitis patients with more than 30% of sites with the presence of a PPD of >= 5mm and CAL of >= 5mm.
- •b.Patients with history of smoking at least 10 cigarettes per day for the last 3 years.
排除标准
- •Exclusion Criteria:
- •1.Pregnant women or lactating mothers.
- •2.Subjects who have undergone any periodontal therapy in the past 6 month.
- •3.Subjects on antibiotics, anti-inflammatory therapy, or vitamin/nutritional supplements.
- •4.Subjects with systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hyperten-sion, renal disease, rheumatoid arthritis, periapical infection of any tooth, or any other form of systemic inflammatory in¬volvement
