Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) among medical and allied health science students of Indian Universities.

This is a non-experimental cross-sectional survey based study design to understand the Awareness, Knowledge, Attitude and practice towards Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) among Medical and allied health science students of Indian Universities. A semi- structured questionnaire will be designed by the authors. The domains will be designed, according to Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of SDG 3. The questions specific to each domain will be framed giving appropriate weightage to the targets with higher priority. Each domain will be allotted 10 questions in the questionnaire. The questionnaire will be validated by the team of experts. It will be assessed on the basis of clarity, appropriateness and the adequateness of the questions. The face validity and construct validity will be done. The inclusion and exclusion criteria will be specified. The participants will be selected through snowball sampling strictly adhering to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The questionnaire will then be converted to online google form format. The survey is planned to be in the online mode to overcome the geographical barriers and to conserve paper. Further emails will be sent to various Universities to invite them to join in this study. The students will then be contacted via emails and whatsapp messages. Students belonging to the various graduate and post graduate medical and allied health science courses will be approached. The instruction about the questionnaire used in the project will be given in the online mode and consent will be taken from the participants. A facilitator to assist the participants with their doubts regarding the study will be appointed for each cluster. Total 400 individuals from each state will be approached. Students from five Indian states will be included in the study. Three appropriately spaced reminders to fill the questionnaire will be sent to the participants. Total responses will be obtained. The data of the participants who did not answer the attention question satisfactorily will be removed from the study, thus, the total responses will be collected for the study. Data cleaning and coding will be done. Data will be analyzed using the SPSS software. We respect the privacy of the participants and we assure you that all the information shared by the participants will strictly be used for the research enhancement purpose, none of the data will be shared to any third party without the participant’s consent.
