- •babies satisfying all the three criteria will be selected :
- •a. Term live born neonates
- •b. Presence of meconium stained amniotic fluid
- •c. Non vigorous at birth defined as by one of the following:
- •1) Heart rate <100/min,
- •2) Decreased muscle tone,
- •3) Not breathing or crying

- •a. Extramural neonates
- •b. Major congenital anomalies
