- •1. Newly diagnosed patients with sepsis (according to Sepsis-3 criteria) >18 years, admitted in
- •the medical ICU
- •2. Those providing informed consent to participate in the study

- •1. Pregnant females
- •2. Diagnosed patients of cancers, hepatic dysfunction, severe malnutrition, immunodeficiency
- •3. Known patients having hematological diseases
- •4. Patients on steroid therapy
