- To identify the anatomical variations in the paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity in patients with complicated sinusitis
研究概览
简要总结
Though sinusitis is a fairly common disease, only a few patients progress to complications. Anatomical factors could be a reason for the disease progression. From this study, the various variations in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses in patients with complicated sinusitis can be identified. By knowing these variations, the prevalence of each variation can be ascertained. Further studies can be taken up in the future to look for an association of each variation with the pathogenesis of the disease and the disease progression.

- •All patients, including children, with complicated sinusitis presenting in ENT or Ophthalmology OPD, EMS, admitted in ENT or Ophthalmology wards.
排除标准
- •Patients with history of prior sinonasal surgery Patients with sinonasal malignancy Patients with skull base fracture.
