Elinzanetant is a non-hormonal neurokinin receptor antagonist. Neurokinin receptor antagonists target KNDy neurons that can become hyperactive with a lack of estrogen and trigger hot flashes and night sweats; elinzanetant reduces those symptoms by directly targeting those neurons.
