Sotyktu is a medicine for treating adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (an inflammatory disease causing red, scaly patches on the skin) who are eligible for systemic therapy (treatment with a medicine given by mouth or by injection). Sotyktu is also used for treating adults with psoriatic arthritis (inflammation of the joints associated with psoriasis) who could not take, or whose condition had not improved enough with, other treatments called disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs). It may be used on its own or together with methotrexate. Sotyktu contains the active substance deucravacitinib.
Therapeutic Indication
### Therapeutic indication Plaque psoriasis Sotyktu is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy. Psoriatic arthritis Sotyktu, alone or in combination with methotrexate (MTX), is indicated for the treatment of active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in adults who have had an inadequate response or who have been intolerant to a prior disease-modifying antirheumatic (DMARD) therapy.
