Kostaive is a vaccine for preventing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in people aged 18 years and over. Kostaive contains the active substance zapomeran, a self-amplifying messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule (known as sa-mRNA): this is a molecule with instructions for producing a protein from the original strain of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19; it also has instructions for making an enzyme called replicase, which makes additional copies of the mRNA.

### Therapeutic indication Kostaive is indicated for active immunisation to prevent COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 in individuals 18 years of age and older. The use of this vaccine should be in accordance with official recommendations.
