Adcirca is a medicine used to treat adults and children from 2 years of age with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH is a disease where there is abnormally high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. Adcirca is used in patients with PAH class II (where the patients have slight limitation of physical activity) and PAH class III (where patients have marked limitation of physical activity). Adcirca contains the active substance tadalafil.
Therapeutic Indication
### Therapeutic indication Adults Treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) classified as WHO functional class II and III, to improve exercise capacity (see section 5.1). Efficacy has been shown in idiopathic PAH (IPAH) and in PAH related to collagen vascular disease. Paediatric population Treatment of paediatric patients aged 2 years and above with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) classified as WHO functional class II and III.
