Veyvondi is a medicine used to control bleeding in adults with von Willebrand disease (an inherited bleeding disorder) who cannot be treated with desmopressin (another medicine to stop bleedings) or in whom desmopressin does not work. It is used to prevent and treat bleeding episodes, including during surgery. Veyvondi contains the active substance vonicog alfa.
Therapeutic Indication
### Therapeutic indication Prevention and treatment of haemorrhage or surgical bleeding in adults (age 18 years and older) with von Willebrand disease (VWD), when desmopressin (DDAVP) treatment alone is ineffective or contraindicated. Veyvondi should not be used in the treatment of Haemophilia A.
