The collaboration aims to provide biopharma customers with a streamlined end-to-end platform that bridges discovery through lead candidate selection into preclinical development and beyond.
Partnership Integration and Capabilities
The partnership integrates Mabqi (搜索)'s antibody discovery expertise with Abzena (搜索)'s development and manufacturing services. The collaboration will utilize Mabqi's LiteMab Antibody Discovery Studio for hit selection, screening, and characterization, employing pH-sensitive and universal libraries to identify top lead candidates. These capabilities will be combined with Abzena's expertise in GMP manufacturing, cell line development, developability, and process development.
According to Campbell Bunce (搜索), CSO of Abzena (搜索), the partnership will reduce timelines and derisk projects while easing knowledge transfer, allowing both organizations to work toward a common goal. "The combination of our capabilities enables us to significantly accelerate our customers' discovery programmes from end-to-end by leveraging data to streamline and de-risk earlier on in development, enabling a faster and more successful path to the clinic," Bunce stated.
Addressing Manufacturing Bottlenecks
The partnership addresses current manufacturing bottlenecks by removing the need for technology transfer between multiple vendors during scale-up and manufacturing for clinical and commercial supply.
