Lai elaborated on the therapeutic strategy, noting that the process could begin by targeting immune cells whose function deteriorates with age. "Immune cells, such as T cells, as their function declines after old age. That is why older people become more susceptible to cancer (搜索) and all kinds of disease," he added.
