"This trial is a turning point for stroke (搜索) treatment in India," Dr Gaikwad stated. The study was conducted across eight centres throughout the country, marking a significant advancement in India's clinical research capabilities.

Earlier this year, data from the GRASSROOT trial were accepted by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (搜索) (CDSCO), leading to approval of the Supernova stent (搜索)-retriever for routine use in India.
