The appointments, announced from San Diego, strengthen the company's leadership with extensive experience spanning dermatology research and development, clinical translation, commercialization, and corporate strategy as Amplifica advances its pipeline of product candidates designed to reactivate dormant hair follicles and promote new hair growth.

Leadership Experience in Dermatology Drug Development
Dr. Hofland is a biopharmaceutical executive with more than 30 years of experience in drug discovery and development, translational research, and clinical development. He has advanced dermatology therapeutics from early discovery through first-in-human studies across small molecules, nucleic acid-based therapies, and biologics. His leadership experience includes roles at Connetics, Stiefel Laboratories, GlaxoSmithKline, and Dermira, as well as co-founding Evommune and leading discovery and preclinical development at Turn Biotechnologies and Soleno Therapeutics.
Dr. Hofland has contributed to 13 investigational new drug applications and helped advance 10 product candidates into clinical development and commercialization. He earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Humphries is an experienced healthcare executive and board director with deep expertise in dermatology, pharmaceuticals, and contract development and manufacturing. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and a director of MedPharm and has served on the board of Aclaris Therapeutics since 2016. Previously, he led Alcami, Isosceles Pharmaceuticals, Ortho Dermatologics, and Merz's North American business, and held senior leadership roles at Stiefel Laboratories and Allergan. Mr. Humphries also serves as a director of Cutera and has held board positions at several public and private healthcare companies. He earned a B.A. from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
