The biotech firm signed agreements with Kops Bio (搜索) for degrader-antibody conjugate (搜索) (DAC) development and J2H Biotech (搜索) for antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) advancement, both leveraging Aptis's proprietary AbClick® conjugation platform.
Pioneering DAC Development with Kops Bio
On November 26, Aptis (搜索) and Kops Bio (搜索) announced a business agreement for joint research on next-generation DAC therapeutics. This collaboration combines Aptis's third-generation site-selective linker conjugation platform with Kops Bio's expertise in covalent inhibitors and molecular glue degraders.
DACs represent a significant advancement over conventional ADCs by eliminating target proteins (搜索) rather than simply inducing cell death. Kops Bio (搜索) brings its proprietary chemoproteomics platform, RaPIDome, which enables the discovery of new targets and design of degradation mechanisms.

In October, Aptis (搜索) signed a memorandum of understanding with J2H Biotech (搜索) for developing a first-in-class ADC novel drug candidate. This partnership combines Aptis's AbClick® technology with J2H Biotech's OPTIFLEX® payload platform to create next-generation anticancer drugs with global competitiveness.
Under this collaboration, J2H Biotech (搜索) will design and synthesize highly potent cytotoxic payloads using the OPTIFLEX® platform, while Aptis (搜索) will precisely conjugate these payloads to antibodies to achieve optimal Drug-to-Antibody Ratio (DAR). The development process includes selective cytotoxicity assessments at the cellular level, efficacy and pharmacokinetics verification in tumor xenograft mouse models, and ultimate selection of a preclinical ADC candidate.
