Ardena (搜索), a specialist contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO), announced on January 29, 2026, the completion of its divestment of the drug substance manufacturing site in Södertälje, Sweden, to Nanologica AB (搜索). The facility will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary within the Nanologica Group under its original name, Syntagon AB (搜索).
Strategic Transaction Details
The Södertälje facility represents a well-established drug substance CDMO with more than 45 employees and a proven track record in small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The site supports pharmaceutical programs across the entire development spectrum, from early development through clinical supply to commercial manufacturing. Recent years have seen significant investments in chromatographic purification and falling film distillation capabilities, enhancing the facility's technical capabilities.
Under the agreement terms, Ardena (搜索) will become a shareholder in Nanologica, while Jeremie Trochu, CEO of Ardena, will join Nanologica's Board of Directors. This arrangement reflects the long-standing relationship between the two companies and ensures strategic alignment moving forward.
Operational Continuity and Future Collaboration
To maintain seamless operations for existing programs, Ardena (搜索) will remain a customer through an ongoing services agreement. This arrangement ensures continuity for current customer programs while both companies plan to collaborate on new customer projects where relevant.
